The typeface Times New Roman was commissioned by the London newspaper The Times in 1931 and was disenana by Stanley Morison, Starling Burgess and Victor Lardent, the first edition Monotype was made in 1932 and is one of the fonts more employed in the edition of books.
In digital systems is one of the first to be implemented and is used as pathros to measure the quality of the systems that handle fonts.
The Department of State of the United States of America issued a circurlar that on February 1, 2004 all documents would use Times New taken from 14 points, replacing the Courier New.
